General Manager - China and East Asia

This is an exciting and challenging time to work in scientific publishing in this region. They want to enhance their strong position in the community, continue to publish the best science and bring together the global community.
You need to have strong commercial skills and be achievement orientated. You should demonstrate leadership and management experience in an international professional body or STM publishing organisation ideally within China. We will expect you to lead, support and empower remote teams and articulate a clear vision internally and externally. You will be credible and respected within the Chinese chemical sciences community and ideally have prior knowledge of international science, innovation, research and funding structures.

This role suits an experienced networker and influencer; able to operate and make decisions across all levels of the organisation, different cultures, with senior government officials and leading scientists. You will have a graduate level education, preferably in the physical sciences and excellent spoken and written communications skills in Mandarin and English.
