As Digital Communications Executive, your role will be varied and challenging, working in partnership with other areas of the business to improve the way in which we use digital content and channels, including developing programmes of digital marketing and communications activity. You will advise colleagues on best practice, assessing impact, maintaining guidelines and standards, working with suppliers and developing a deep understanding of brand.

You will have:

  • Degree level and/or a relevant communications/marketing qualification.
  • Experience within an organisation of some or all of the following: email marketing, social media management, digital advertising, and content marketing.
  • Experience creating and publishing content for corporate social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and using social media analytics tools to optimise social strategies.
  • Experience of using content management systems, paid search, search engine marketing.
  • Experience of using leading email platforms and marketing automation systems, advertising, search marketing, email automation and trigger/behaviour based email communications.
  • Knowledge of best practices in content creation, curation and delivery through digital channels.
  • Experience in measuring and reporting on the performance of digital content and channels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • An active interest in how the digital environment is evolving and an appreciation of its role in integrated into the delivery of effective and efficient organisational communications and marketing.
  • Understanding of complementary disciplines such as advertising and ecommerce.
  • A broad knowledge of scientific communications and a passion for promoting and enabling the positive impact of chemistry and science generally.
