Associate Analytical Chemist required, based in Warrington. Requiring a degree in Chemistry OR proven industrial experience with analytical chemistry (including GC, GC-MS and/or NMR experience). Recent Chemistry graduates can be considered.

SRG are working with a global chemical manufacturer who are leaders in several speciality and high-performance chemical markets. They are now seeking to hire an Associate Analytical Chemist to join their site in Warrington, Cheshire. This role will involve supporting the Senior Analytical Chemist in performing analysis to support the development of new products and production processes, as well as perform non-routine analysis to support in technical requests and investigations. Candidates with proven industrial experience in analytical chemistry including GC, GC-MS and NMR are encouraged to apply. Recent Chemistry graduates will be considered as full training can be provided.

Role / Description
  • Prepare and analyse samples within agreed timeframes using techniques and instrumentation such as GC, GC-MS, NIR, Raman spectrometer
  • Prepare chemical standards and reagents in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments
  • Document all results and activities
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Support in waste management including hazardous waste management




Requirements
  • A degree Chemistry (or similar) OR proven industrial experience
    • Industrial experience should involve GC, GC-MS and NMR analysis
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
