Shift Lab Technician

CK Group are currently recruiting for a Shift Lab Technician to join a chemical manufacturing company in the oil and additives industry at their site based in the Basildon area, on a full time, permanent basis. This is a shift based role involving alternating morning shifts (Mon-Thur 6am-6pm) and night shifts (Mon-Thur 6pm-6am) 


The Client:

Our client is a privately owned organisation who specialise in formulating, manufacturing and supplying chemicals used in the oil and gas industry. The company offers a salary of £29,500 including shift allowance as well as a generous benefits package including 25 days' holiday + bank holidays, pension scheme with a company contribution of 9%, life assurance scheme, private healthcare, employee assistance programme and discretionary bonus scheme.


Location:

This role will be based at the company's site near Basildon, easily commutable by road from Chelmsford, Romford, Wickford, Southend, Grays and surrounding areas. 


Lab Manager Role:

Your main duties will include:

• • Testing and Sampling
  • • All in house testing of raw materials
    • All in house testing of finished products
    • All reporting and recording of all test results
  • Ensuring sample requests are processed in a timely manner, including arranging for transport and ensuring the required customs paperwork is completed
  • To support in development projects as and when required
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained and raise any maintenance queries to the Lab Manager
  • Provide support to the Lan Manager and Technical Team as required

Your Background:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

•  A Chemistry Degree or A level Chemistry
•  Previous experience in QC or Testing Laboratory
