QC Analyst required, based in Teesside on a 6-month contract. Requiring proven industrial experience of analytical chemistry including HPLC or GC amongst other techniques.

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience, pro-rata)

Employment Term: 6-month contract



SRG are working with an international company who specialise in the creation of speciality chemicals for a range of markets. They are now looking to add a QC Analyst to their analytical team on a 6-month contract at their site in Teesside. This temporary role will be supporting with an ongoing project, and will involve analysis of samples using a range of analytical techniques including HPLC, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR amongst others. Experienced analysts who are between roles, or recent graduates who have completed an analytical placement year in industry are encouraged to apply.

Benefits: 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata). Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm (with flexibility).

Role / Description
  • Perform QC analysis of unknown samples using a range of techniques including HPLC and GC, amongst others.
  • Provide results and data to maintain QC records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Carry out calibration of equipment and method development of techniques and maintenance of calibration records to the appropriate standard.
  • Communicate internally in a timely manner to appropriate departments.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of reagents and consumables


Requirements
  • Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
  • Proven industrial experience of analysis including HPLC or GC in a busy, fast-paced laboratory setting
  • Positive, pro-active attitude
  • Team player work a strong work ethic
