CK Group are recruiting for a Research Associate to join a company in the chemical manufacturing industry at their site based in Stoke on a full time, permanent basis.
The Company:
Our client is a leader in global manufacturer of tin oxide based materials. Their expertise lies in developing and manufacturing a range of functional pigments and nanomaterials. They now have an opportunity for an Research Associate to join their inorganic chemistry team and can offer a salary between £25,000-£35,000pa depending on experience.
Location:
The Research Associate will be based at the company's site in Stoke, easily commutable from surrounding areas.

Your main duties will be:
- Creating new ideas for novel advanced materials
- Synthesizing new materials for various technical applications like window films, inks, conductive coatings, Laser Marking, Dispersions
- Upscaling laboratory procedures into pilot plant scale
- Solving technical challenges in new product development
- Working collaboratively with other team members and customers
- Providing customer technical support
- Analysing performance of competitive products in customer applications
- Demonstrating performance of products in various applications
- Reporting results in form of technical reports, presentations, data sheets etc.
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:
- Experimental experience gained in a laboratory - essential
- BSc, MSc or PhD qualified in Chemistry, Material Science or related discipline with preparative experience, preferably in inorganic chemistry
- Preferably knowledge in one of the fields: inks, coatings, polymer processing, Laser Marking, Nanodispersions
