Applications Scientist required on a permanent basis, based in Greater Manchester. Requiring a degree in a Science discipline or engineering (Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering).

Salary: £28,000-£40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Term: Permanent



SRG are currently working with a leading manufacturer of speciality chemicals used predominantly in the industrial fluid and lubricants industries. With a global presence and a portfolio of growing products, they are now looking to hire an Applications Scientist to join their applications team in Greater Manchester. This is an exciting time for them, with the successful candidate supporting in the development of a new range of products. A range of backgrounds can be considered including experience within Chemistry, Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineering.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with flexibility)

Role/Description
  • Support in the development of new products and applications
  • Support and lead technical projects including coordination, design and implementation of laboratory-based test benches
  • Present data and findings from development work to wider project teams


Requirements
  • Educated to degree level within a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering considered).
  • Proven industrial experience of application testing is advantageous but not essential
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously
