There is an opportunity for a fully funded PhD studentship in Chemistry at the University of Kent available starting in September 2024.
The scholarship will be awarded to work on one of the following three projects:
PhD Project in Using chemical design to enhance the detection of Raman active compounds for defence chemistry applications
Supervisor: Dr Jon Tandy (j.tandy-611@kent.ac.uk)
PhD Project in Sustainable Synthesis of Next Generation Cooling Technologies
Supervisor: Dr Helena Shepherd (h.j.shepherd@kent.ac.uk)
PhD Project in Drug Delivery Systems
Supervisor: Dr Stefano Biagini (s.biagini@kent.ac.uk)
The scholarship includes a doctoral stipend (£18,622 2023/24 rate, 2024/25 to be announced) for 3.5 years, tuition fees at the home rate and access to further research support funding. Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, a first or upper second-class honours degree in a relevant subject, and ideally a Master’s degree or equivalent.
