Supply chain manager required for Oxfordshire-based chemicals research and development company
Supply Chain Manager
Oxfordshire (commutable from Oxford, Reading, Abingdon and surrounding areas)
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 (might consider higher for an ideal fit)

SRG is working with a growing chemicals researcher, who develop novel compounds for use in the agricultural, veterinary and FMCG industries. Based in the Oxfordshire area, they have recently started hiring for a supply chain manager. This job would be ideal for someone with previous supply chain experience in the chemicals industry who is looking for a new challenge, or someone with a sales/market development background looking to go into supply chain. You will be responsible for all supply chain strategies relating to the business and building relationships with suppliers and customers.

Role Description
- Management of chemical stock and inventory
- Finding cost effective suppliers and manufacturers of chemical and negotiating service contracts
- Maintaining relevant databases and documentation of logistical goods and services
- Mitigating against risks arising in logistics and supply
- Complying with industry regulations and standards
- Forecasting material demands to meet manufacturing requirements
Requirements
- 1-5 years' experience in chemical supply chain. Experience within agrochemicals/agrichemicals would be preferable but not essential
- Knowledge of supply chain management software (ideally ERP and MRP). A strong proficiency in Excel will also be necessary
- Ability to plan, communicate and organise projects under pressure
- Detailed knowledge of import/export and shipment of dangerous goods
- Full right to work in the UK
