QC Analyst - Global Consumer Healthcare Company
Contract: 6 months contract
Location: Maidenhead, UK
Salary: £31,500
SRG are working with a Global Consumer Healthcare company to help them find a QC Analyst to join their busy team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic chemistry graduate with some industrial experience.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Follows site safety principles and participates in local engagement programs. Continuously strives for the improvements in the local safety measures by proposing changes and implementing improvements.
- Ensures laboratory is maintained to high standards by following 5S and clean bench principles and make certain that inventory levels are adequate (Kanban).
- Carry out testing of laboratory samples for raw materials, chemistry bulk product or microbiological testing (incl. environmental samples) to requirements of methods, pharmacopoeias, company specifications or protocols following ALCOA+ and right first-time principles.
- Executes the daily documentation activities including but not limited to result collections, verifications, and progress of investigations (i.e. LI, VI, EMs) as per the plan provided by the QC Lead Analyst or QC Team Manager to meet the site release targets. Is able to effectively use RCA and CAPA tools to works towards local improvements and complete investigations.
- Responsible for own training and development. Maintains up to date training records and performance and development plans. Identifies requirements for further training as required to support areas of responsibility.
- Readily escalates any issues and proposes solutions i.e. equipment failures, difficulties to meet specific plan, identified OOT/OOS results.
- Execute assigned actions (i.e. CAPAs, Change control tasks) to high standards and in timely manner.
Candidate Requirements:
- Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline or working towards relevant qualification.
- Experience with HPLC would be desirable.
- Demonstrates competence in proper handling, recording and analysing scientific experimental data.
- Has good knowledge of GMP requirements, SOPs and policies.
