Compliance Manager needed in Southampton on a permanent basis. In-depth ISO17025 knowledge essential, analytical chemistry background desired.

SRG are working with a dynamic and independent leader in analytical testing and consultancy services that has recently achieved ISO 17025 accreditation, to find an experienced Compliance Manager based in Southampton. You will take on an integral role within the company to reinforce ISO 17025 accreditation, be responsible for AQC chart monitoring, producing validation packs for UKAS work, and develop new methods for laboratory services.
Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package, 20 days annual leave + bank holidays, Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00 hours, early finish on Fridays. Hybrid working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the ISO 17025 accreditation process.
- Develop, implement, and oversee strategies to maintain ISO 17025 accreditation.
- Stay current with revisions to ISO 17025 standards and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Design, implement, and maintain an AQC chart monitoring program to ensure the quality and precision of the analytical processes.
- Collaborate with laboratory teams to assess chart data, identify trends, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Report and communicate AQC chart findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Create and manage comprehensive validation packs for all projects requiring UKAS accreditation.
- Ensure that validation packs meet UKAS requirements and support the success of accreditation processes.
- Coordinate with project teams to collect and organize validation data.
- Innovate and develop new testing methods to expand our analytical capabilities.
- Collaborate with laboratory scientists and researchers to design, validate, and document new methods.
- Keep abreast of advancements in analytical techniques and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain accurate records and documentation related to ISO 17025.
- Ensure that documentation reflects the latest standards and processes.
Requirements:
- A minimum BSc in Chemistry.
- Proven expertise in compliance to ISO 17025 standards.
- Experience of chemical laboratory management and history of bench analysis desired.
- Competent and experienced in Test Witness Audits and Vertical Audits.
- Open to and supportive of hybrid working.
- Experience of UKAS assessment visits and confidently dealing with UKAS Lead Assessors.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques and method development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
