Technical Applications Manager

This position would suit a candidate looking for a more customer focused role whilst still retaining their technical capabilities. They will provide a bridge between the BDM and the laboratory. Typical hybrid pattern would consist of 1 day on site, 2 days with customers, 2 days home working.

Responsibilities

• To be the technical expert link between customers and our Client, supporting customers in their use and planned use of acrylic polymer-based products. To nurture customer relationships technically to best position our Client as the preferred supplier of choice by target customers. Provide customer and plant technical support and assistance as required to resolve production and quality issues in support of new product introductions. Scope and describe what appropriate application data is required to demonstrate our Clients product performance vs customer need and competitor product performance. To define and lead the company’s technical program (product and application) with respect to use of acrylic polymers in various end markets, with particular attention on the Coatings, Construction, Sealant & Adhesive markets. Working to constantly seek out new opportunities which the Acrylic polymer business should be exploring.

Candidate Profile

• Knowledge and experience of the Coatings, Construction, Sealants & Adhesive markets and customers Knowledge of acrylic polymer chemistry (preferable) Ability to engage professionally with customers, suppliers, 3rd party partners (e.g., Universities)
