We are currently looking for a Protein Analytics Group Leader to join a leading biopharmaceuital company based in the Berkshire area. As the Protein Analytics Group Leader you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a wider team having a number scientist reporting directly to you, as well as leading various internal projects in a fast-paced role.

This if a great opportunity for a scientist with experience in executing analytical techniques of proteins to perform diverse activities in your role, be a part of a growing team and take ownership of your work and progression.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Protein Analytics Group Leader will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will provide analytical support and testing for the process development and protein purification teams. You will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for techniques such as HPLC, MS, ELISA, CE, and qPCR.

2. You will take charge of the training, performance management, and overall personal development of your direct reports whilst ensuring workflows are maintained to required standards.

3. You will take the lead on key department strategic projects and control it's execution and delivery as required.

4. You will perform more diverse activities working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, and lead problem solving activities.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Protein Analytics Group Leader we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a relevant scientific background

2. Proven industry experience working in a CMO/CDMO managing teams of multiple scientists.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience of analytical techniques such as HPLC, MS, CE, ELISA, and qPCR. (Previous experience with Continuous Improvement tools would be of advantage)
