Molecular Virologist

A leading biotechnology company in Oxford is seeking a Molecular Virologist with experience in virus culture and/or the genetic manipulation of viruses.

As a Molecular Virologist you will play a key part in the development of novel viral vector vaccine candidates utilising your molecular biology skills, perform assays to assess the quality of viral vectors, assist in studies to optimise the manufacture of viral vectors, and perform analytical assays.

Requirements for this role are:

• MSc in relevant with proven experience in similar role, or a recent PhD
• Demonstrated experience with cell and virus culture systems and the molecular biology of viruses
• Experience designing experiments and conducting research with techniques such as cloning, PCR, Western blot, ELISA, virus titration, transfections, and virus purification.
