Nutrient Extraction Scientist - Oxfordshire - Biotechnology
I am recruiting for a nutrient extraction scientist for an Oxfordshire based Biotechnology company. As a Nutrient Extraction Scientist you will be involved in the repurpose of nutrients from side streams from the food and feed industry, as well as maximising cell growth via the optimisation and characterisation of proteins and sugars as cell culture medium alternatives.
The successful candidate will have experience in:
- Nutrient extraction (proteins, fats, starch)
- The chemistry involved in biomass conversion
- Isolating and extracting plant/fermentation proteins
- Reducing the cost of culture media ingredients (desirable)
