Job Details
The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) has a great opportunity for a Membership Coordinator to join us on a permanent full-time (35-hour week) basis.
With over 50,000 members from 125 countries, this role is a part of our busy Membership Operations Team that provides the ‘front line service’ for member and potential member enquiries. The team is responsible for administration of membership through the efficient processing of applications, admissions, exits and renewals and engagement. This role provides support for defined administrative processes and system procedures.
As a Membership Coordinator for the RSC, you will ensure the delivery of a high standard of service to our members, potential members and all other contacts. This is a key role where you will increase engagement with, and support of, key member products and services to effectively deliver key touch points, engagement plans and recognition to members supporting their involvement with the RSC and membership retention.
We are looking for:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven team working ability.
- Meet tight deadlines and understand the importance of prioritising their work.
- Be aware of data protection issues at all times.
- Understand the importance of membership and the Royal Society of Chemistry’s role as a professional body.
The contractual base for this role is our Cambridge office, however we are currently embracing hybrid working, and therefore you will also have the opportunity to work from a UK location other than this, as agreed with your line manager. Applicants should be aware that there is an expectation that employees will attend the offices as needed for their role. Attendance at our Cambridge office twice per week (days flexible) is needed for this role.
