Job Details

We are looking for a Senior Process Improvement Technologist who will be responsible for leading the process chemistry support and development for our two Monomer sites: Rotherham and Seal Sands.

About the Role

As Senior Process Improvement Technologist you will be the ‘go-to’ person when it comes to Monomer chemistry. A technical specialist, leader and innovator you will have a unique opportunity to drive improvements through understanding and application of data driven science, making a clear contribution to safety, cost, efficiency and effectiveness.

Based at Rotherham you will be part of the local leadership team and lead delivery and commissioning of the new monomer laboratory, where the DFDPM and BDF processes can be replicated, and investigated, at small scale. Through this facility you will be able to trial process improvements and then lead implementation of improvement at full plant scale. You will also have line management responsibility for one technologist.

Although based at Rotherham, this role covers the Monomer business, and you will also be a key part of the Seal Sands management team. It is expected that you will be required to travel to Seal Sands in the region of 2 days per month.

Your Experience

We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of monomer chemistry, sound laboratory experience & knowledge of monomer production processes. You will have demonstrable experience of leadership and influencing across all levels of the business and a proven record of delivering significant improvement projects and product investigations.

A chemistry degree or equivalent experience is essential for this role.
