Formulation Chemist

CK Group are recruiting for a Formulation Chemist to join an RNA delivery and therapeutics company based in Guildford on an 18 month initial fixed term contract.

The Company:
Our client have developed a platform of silicon stabilised hybrid lipid nanoparticles to dramatically improve the stabilisation and delivery of RNA based therapeutics and vaccines.

As a Formulation Chemist, you will be responsible for all steps of formula development from ideation to final formulation. Primary responsibilities will be the full understanding of our clients existing products as well as the innovation of new products intended for topical use. You will also need to demonstrate formulation and innovation skills in the gene therapy area.

The successful candidate should be able to initiate, develop and create innovative formulations to expand the R&D formulation library and enhance customer’s presentations and guide junior staff. Other responsibilities include research of raw materials as well as stability testing/evaluation and product data presentations, and also preparation and ship bulk submission samples as required by R&D Team management.

Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• MSc in Pharmacy or Life Science, with a master thesis related to pharmaceutical technology and drug delivery system
• Knowledge of Drug Delivery Systems, in particular liposomes and delivery of nucleic acid material for gene therapy
