Chemical Compliance Coordinator - Newcastle (HYBRID)

Our client is a manufacturer of analytical equipment that is looking for someone to join their chemical compliance team in Newcastle. This would be an ideal move for someone with some experience working with safety data sheets (SDS) labelling and UK/EU regulations who is looking for a new challenge in the industry.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring compliance with EU and UK regulatory authorities for hazardous substances
• Communicating with clients and suppliers regarding safety data sheets and regulatory compliance
• Use Global Harmonised System (GHS), REACH and CLP to assess chemical compliance
• Producing COSHH Risk Assessments
• Complying with HSEQ policies
• Support new product development with regulatory work on new formulations

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A degree in chemistry or a similar scientific discipline
• Past experience in a chemical compliance role
• An understanding of SDS authoring
• Experience in Global Harmonised System (GHS), REACH and CLP would be a bonus
• A working knowledge of software such as UL WERCS elite or MY SDS
• Full right to work within the UK
