Medicinal Chemists (Senior/Principal Levels)

CK Group are recruiting for talented and experienced Medicinal Chemists at Senior or Principal levels, to join an expanding drug discovery organisation. These positions are fully onsite and can be based in Nottinghamshire or near Manchester. A great opportunity for passionate Scientists with strong Organic and Medicinal Chemistry background coupled with drug discovery, looking for career progression or new challenge.

The Company:
My client offers expertise across a broad range of therapeutic areas and biological target areas.

Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the drug discovery team on projects within bioscience, DMPK, computational chemistry, and in-vivo.
- Provide scientific leadership on project needs guiding drug discovery programs through lead optimisation.
- Design and implement novel synthetic routes.

Your Background:
- PhD in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry with expertise in both areas.
- Broad background of leading drug discovery projects, with significant industry (Pharmaceutical/CRO) drug discovery experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Bioscience, DMPK, in vivo) and define strategies for drug discovery project from lead generation to hit-to-lead.
- Experience of leading a team and provide mentorship (Principal level upwards).
- Passionate about medicinal and synthetic chemistry.
