HRS are working with a world leading drug discovery business who's contributions to innovative technologies have consistently aided in the development of life changing pharmaceutical products across multiple therapeutic areas. Operating globally, they are currently seeking to hire a portfolio director to implement systems and controls to effectively manage a large portfolio of drug discovery projects.
This position will join a newly created division with an established drug discovery environment and will develop, implement and manage systems / processes to coordinate large number of projects ensuring key stakeholders have an accurate & real-time view of key metrics & progress.
This will be an ideal role for an individual with a strong knowledge of the drug discovery / Biopharma environments and established project / product management experience.
Key duties and responsibilities:
This is a newly created position within a young division and will allow you to have a high degree of influence in developing & implementing systems to manage a large & growing number of projects across the businesses drug discovery portfolio. Key duties will include:
1. Build and maintain an accurate project portfolio overview containing key metrics & information.
2. Actively monitor & track key milestones via the dashboard to ensure real-time communication of pipeline project progress & anticipate resource needs.
3. Generate & report data on success rates & timeline evolutions, presenting findings & updates to key stakeholders.
4. Track & manage collaborations / partnerships supporting governance & frequent reviews
Role requirements:
1. Relevant degree or higher qualification in a relevant life sciences discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in R&D project, product or portfolio management ideally in a Biopharma or drug discovery setting.
Established familiarity with project management tools & practises alongside excellent communication and presentation skills.
3. Experience with SAP systems & change management.
