Are you an experienced Senior Strategic Buyer - Indirects looking for an exciting job opportunity?

We are currently looking for a Senior Strategic Buyer to join a life sciences business based in Berkshire.

The Senior Strategic Buyer - Indirects will manage a team of Buyers as direct reports and will be the Indirect Procurement Lead.

This role will manage and support Indirect materials and services spend for a number of sites and will focus on managing supplier performance and relationships.


Your duties as the Senior Strategic Buyer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be responsible for achieving savings targets, negotiating supply contracts and prices, resolving issues with suppliers and ensuring that GMP compliance is maintained at the sites under their control.

2. As the Indirect Procurement Lead, deal with any sourcing or negotiation requests as well as any other queries from local stakeholders. You will also provide purchasing expertise in sourcing goods and services, tendering, tactical negotiation and negotiation of contracts at sites.

3. As the Senior Strategic Buyer - Indirectsm, you will support global & regional sourcing efforts to drive savings target achievements as well as support implementation and execution of global indirect category strategies at site level.

4. Additionally, you will ensure business continuity and supply/availability of indirect materials for production and laboratory activities by supporting the site Operational Buyers and managing supplier relationships and performance.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Strategic Buyer - Indirects we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Procurement or Supply Chain. You will also need to demonstrate a track record of experience with Indirect spend with experience in tendering, contract and tactical negotiations.

2. Regulated industry background experience is essential (Pharmaceutical, Food, Motor or Aerospace industry).

3. SAP experience is highly desirable.
