A world class nutritional food manufacturer located in Cumbria are looking for a Factory Planner to join their team. As Factory Planner, you will have an understanding of production planning, material supply and NPD processes, experienced creating production plans and scheduling as well as have the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environments.

Main Duties

• Create production plans to enhance factory productivity
• Manage finished goods stock levels to reduce disposals
• Consistently supervise the progress of the factory to ensure that service levels to the warehouse are met
• Create precise raw material figures for procurement
• Deal with all customer orders in a timely manner
• Re-forecast customer provisional orders based on current orders
• Act as a go between all departments for the objective of effective communication
• Effectively communicate with customers
• Understand production planning, material supply and NPD processes

Person Profile

• Effectively communicate with customers
• A-level or equivalent educated
• Prior planning experience is important
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literate - Excel and planning systems
• Experienced in working under pressure and on own initiative
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of production planning, material supply and NPD processes
• Understanding and experience of working within the consumer goods / manufacturing industry
