Full time position-
Monday- Thursday 8.30am- 5pm
Friday 8.30am-2.30pm
Holidays - 25 plus statutory bank holidays
Salary - £20,000+ negotiable depending upon experience within Quality environment

The Role

The role of Quality Control Chemist is predominantly to carry out quality control analysis of raw materials and finished products using a range of analytical methods, including Gas Chromatography and wet chemistry. You will be expected to maintain and continuously update our ISO9001:2015 quality management system. Our product range of sterile disinfectants and protective coatings are used extensively in the pharmaceutical industry, industrial, oil/gas and marine industries.

Key duties

• 
  Carry out basic wet chemistry analysis including GC
  · Maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System
  · Provide training and support to all staff in SOP's
  · Generate and compile certificates of analysis, conformity, and irradiation.
  · Conducting investigations
  · Writing technical reports
  · Keeping abreast of new legislation and trends that relate to the relevant industries
  · Providing technical support
  · Completing internal audits
  · Aid in the development and writing/reviewing of Standard Operating Procedures
  · Compile and review Risk and COSHH Assessments
  
  Requirements

Minimum of 2.2 (BSc) in Chemistry or a relevant science subject or demonstrable experience working within a Quality department.
Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements (Desirable)
High standard of written and verbal communication.
