We are currently working with a rapidly expanding CRO based just outside Durham, they are currently looking for a Research Chemist to join their Research and Development team. 
They work across a range of industries including Pharmaceuticals, Fine Chemicals and Synthetic Biology meaning that no two days are ever the same, the role brings a great level of variety as the projects are ever changing. 

What You’ll Do:

• Work within the Research and Development team to help deliver projects to clients specifications
• Deliver synthetic chemistry programmes by developing, optimizing and scaling up new processes
• Work with other departments across the company to deliver project results on time
• Be involved with project meetings and collaborative research events
• Write technical reports

Who You’ll Be:

• A PhD or equivalent with a focus on chemical synthesis
• Prior experience working within a similar role desirable but not essential
• An expansive understanding and practical experience across different synthetic methodologies
• A working knowledge of practical analytical techniques
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
• The ability to build and maintain relationships and to work well within a team
