CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Analyst on behalf of a well established pharmaceutical specials manufacturer, to be based at their site in Redditch on a permanent basis.
About the company:
Our client is the UK's largest independent pharmaceutical wholesaler, with in-house GMP manufacturing facilities for unlicensed specials.
About the role:
The main purpose of this position will be the oversight of raw material and finished product testing as well as stability studies.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Development and validation of analytical test methods to GMP standards
• Preparing analytical method development, validation, and analytical investigation reports.
• Planning, implementing, conducting and documenting stability studies.
• Managing raw material sampling and testing using a wide range of analytical instruments and techniques.
• Purchasing, validating, and maintaining equipment for analytical development activities.
• Prioritising own workload
• Routine monitoring and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Writing/reviewing specifications and methods of analysis.
• Analytical support and analytical problem solving to facilitate product development activities, including accelerated and long-term stability testing and process development.
• Controlling laboratory chemicals required for analytical development activities.
• Taking responsibility for the management of non-conformances and CAPAs within the area of responsibility.
• Participating in self inspections and regulatory inspections
• Completing all documentation to ensure all activities are recorded to meet required standards.
• Writing and reviewing SOP's related to testing specifications and laboratory equipment
About you:
To be considered for the position, you should ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified to a minimum of BSc level (or possess equivalent experience) in a relevant scientific subject
- Experience of using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC
- Experience of working in a Pharmaceutical testing environment would be highly beneficial for this position, although not essential
