KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Materials Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Senior Materials Research Scientist you will be responsible for progressing a range of technologies with multiple partners and stakeholders.
2. You will be required to scope, plan and execute the research, development, validation, and subsequent prototyping of proof-of-concept products. This will inform and influence the company's strategy in Energy Storage Materials.
3. As the Senior Materials Research Scientist you will be responsible for progressing the validation of products, taking them forward to the prototype / demonstrator stage at the earliest opportunity.
4. You will contribute to the development of our commercialisation roadmap, working closely with the Senior Technologists and Executive Leadership. As well as identify opportunities for external collaboration and assist in the preparation of Grant Funding Applications.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Materials Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering.
2. Proven industry experience in research of battery anode materials and Lithium Ion battery technologies.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience leading research and development programs. Taking the initiative to propose, design and deliver projects to required timelines and decision points.
