Lab Technician

CK Group is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a an organisation that manufactures and supplies liquid nutrients and other products for a wide range of sectors. These sectors include farming, agriculture, sport, aviation, transport, bio-energy production, water treatment and food processing. Please note this role will mostly be lab based however some site work will be required.

The company:
A privately owned business that was established in the UK over 40 years ago. The company manufacture complex liquid formulations for use in many industries, ranging from agriculture to energy.

Location:
The role is located in Lincolnshire, an area which offers beautiful countryside and peaceful surroundings. Although in a rural location there are excellent transport links to a number of surrounding towns and cities.

The role:
The main purpose of the role will be to perform chemical analysis and reporting of results. You will be involved in field sampling of soils, quality control of products, evaluation of raw materials and documenting test results. You will also take some responsibility for equipment maintenance labelling, storing of samples and you must work in accordance to GLP.

Your background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong chemistry knowledge and formal education in chemical science is preferred. This would be a great role for a chemistry graduate to get some industrial experience and broaden their skills. Some experience in chemical analysis would be desirable but not essential. It is vital that the successful candidate is able to communicate effectively, work well in a team and be self motivated.
