Senior/Principal Scientist - High-throughput assay development

A growing Cambridge-based biotechnology company is seeking a Senior/Principal Scientist with experience in protein science and high-throughput assay development to join their team focused on the development of novel therapeutics.

In this role, you will lead drug discovery projects, performing protein production, purification and protein aggregation assays, and will be responsible for the design and implementation of biochemical and biophysical assays to study protein-protein and protein-small molecule interactions.

Requirements for this role:

• PhD in biochemistry, protein science, biophysics, or related discipline with relevant industry experience;
• Experience characterising protein-protein, protein-small molecule, and protein-lipid interactions using techniques such as SPR, ITC, and MST;
• Experience with high-throughput assay development, and miniaturisation and automation;
• Experience in protein aggregation kinetics-based assays would be an advantage.
