Scientist

QLS are recruiting for a Scientist to join a global Biopharmaceutical Company based in Luzern on a contract basis for 6 months with the possibility of an extension. This role will involve weekend shift every 5 to 6 weeks.

The company is engaged in life science research for more than a century. Around 1300 employees from 56 nations work at their sites in Lucerne and Zurich. The candidate will join the Luzern biotech team. His/her roles will be to perform Batch and Continuous Fermentation and Harvest processes according to the Batch Sheet.

Main responsibilities:
• Performing in-process analytics according to guidelines
• Following company policies and works according the internal and external safety, health, and environment guidelines (cGMP and GDP)
• Write technical protocols and reports

Candidate’s Requirements:
• Education as a Laboratory Technician or Bachelor degree or equivalent
• GMP working or training experience is preferred
• Practical fermentation experience in the pharmaceutical, food or chemical industries is preferred
• Ability to communicate and document in English and German
