£35,327 - £53,348 pa

We invite applications for a permanent Lecturer (Teaching & Scholarship) position in Chemistry. We are keen to recruit enthusiastic and creative individuals to contribute to the development, delivery and organisation of our teaching and learning. With clear progression pathways, we welcome applicants to any area of our taught provision with a keen interest in enhancing the student experience through novel course design that aligns with the Liverpool Curriculum Framework. Our teaching activities are organised into 3 areas (Inorganic, Organic and Physical). We also welcome applications from people working outside those areas which complements an existing area of the department’s teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of chemistry lectures, laboratory classes and tutorials within the suitable teaching section(s). Applications are invited from candidates who can demonstrate an excellent teaching and scholarship profile. In your application you must clearly articulate:

  • Which area(s) (Inorganic, Organic and Physical) you align most closely to
  • How your teaching fits with Departmental strategy, and
  • Your ability to develop and deliver high quality teaching and inspire students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

We are looking to appoint the most appropriate candidate within the Grade 7/8 range, according to experience and ability.
