Group Technical Operations Lead

CK Group are recruiting for a Technical Operations Lead, with PCR manufacturing experience, to join an expanding R&D department within a fast-growing and friendly biotech business.

The Company:
Our client is an industry leader in the development and manufacture of real-time PCR kits and reagents. Their customers span academia, research, healthcare, the food industry and the veterinary industry and they sell to over 100 countries worldwide.

The Role:
Primary role will be to support the manufacturing teams with technical knowledge and support. You will take a lead role in the writing and reviewing of manufacturing SOPs, manufacturing documents and working with QA to produce quality procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the R&D Team on the technical transfer of new products and technologies to the Manufacturing Team.
- Responsible for the creation of new stock codes and the associated bill of materials for new products and custom designs.
- Maintaining the Sage 200 manufacturing system and ensuring it is kept up-to-date.

Your Background:
- PhD in a related field
- Experience of working within a PCR manufacturing/ production environment
- Experience of working within a quality system, particularly ISO 13485
- In depth knowledge of QC procedures
- Ability to provide leadership, coaching and support for less experienced members of the technical and manufacturing teams
