HRS are working with key provider of diagnostics, who's products & services have had a profound impact in the outcomes of patients in over a hundred countries. We are looking to recruit an IT Product Support Specialist to deliver laboratory, point of care & remote teleservice solutions to clients across the UK.
As part of a dynamic team, this position will be responsible for 1st line customer support and will involve using an IT product portfolio to offer remote support to customers or traveling to client sites to co-ordinate software & hardware upgrades.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an IT Product Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing 1st line support to clients on a remote or field based basis. Key duties will include:
1.Being responsible for the first-line customer support hotline, providing remote solutions, escalating issues and providing training of our customers on IT applications.
2.Providing on-site support for clients where required.
3.Co-ordinating software & hardware upgrades at client sites as well as supporting site system design and implementation with colleagues in the field as required.
4.Build strong relationships with customers & clients, providing a quality service.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
As an IT Product Support Specialist you will require:
1.A background in analytical systems support and implementation (Apps/Engineering/LSC).
2.An understanding of modern clinical pathology & workflows using common analytical systems.
3.Proven experience of the installation, configuration, optimisation and troubleshooting of analytical & pre-analytical products within a pathology laboratory or point of care devices in medical environments.
4.Desired skills include
• Knowledge of the commonly used interfacing protocols (ASTM, HL7)
• Knowledge of IT Network troubleshooting (TCP/IP & FTP) using standard diagnostics tools, knowledge of firewalls and their applications.
• Understanding of security and data protection (including WIFI and firewall rules)
