Assistant Professorship in Inorganic Chemistry
(W1 Tenure Track to W2)


to be filled as soon as possible.
 

We are seeking for junior scientists working experimentally on the field of molecular chemistry of the main group elements with a strong record exemplified by excellent publications in first class journals.

Preferentially the candidates should have a research profile in catalysis or the development of innovative materials, which complements the research profiles of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and can contribute to emerging collaborative initiatives of the Department of Chemistry and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.


Teaching is an integral part of the professorship and teaching of courses in Inorganic Chemistry in existing Bachelor and Master Programs in german or english language as well as cooperation in academic administration is expected.


This professorship is funded by the Tenure Track Program of the German Federal and State Governments. Awarding tenure is not subject to a vacancy at the time when the fixed-term contract of the tenure-track position expires. This call is aimed at early-career researchers. As a general rule, the candidate must have earned his/her doctoral degree within the last four years. Candidates who have completed their doctorate at the University of Bonn must have changed universities or have been working in academic research outside of the University of Bonn for at least two years prior to applying. Formal requirements are defined by § 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz Nordrhein-Westfalen).
