The Modelling Team in Materials and Analytical Science (MAS) at AWE is looking for Scientists at various stages of their careers across Materials, Mathematical and Chemical Modelling disciplines to support research and development within a wide range of technically challenging projects.
Material, Mathematical and Chemical Modelling Scientists - 'Computing the Untestable'
Location: Reading/Basingstoke area
Salary: £33,300 - £45,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

We currently have roles available in the following disciplines and are interested in hearing from candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
Knowledge of materials science
Experience of running materials modelling codes
Experience in scientific computing languages
Experience with finite element or finite volume techniques
Experience in uncertainty quantification
Experience with asymptotic methods and producing analytical solutions for numerical models
Experience in constructing materials models of representative systems

To be considered for these roles, you must have a degree or higher qualification in a physical science or mathematics discipline, or proven experience working in a similar environment and possess strong communication skills.
