Job Details
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Medicinal Chemist to join our ‘ground-breaking’ client - a young and dynamic biopharmaceutical company.
Using your vast experience within an industrial drug discovery environment and experience with patent applications, as well as your project leadership abilities you will be responsible for:-
- driving forward medicinal chemistry projects.
- co-ordinating synthetic chemistry activities to ensure the delivery of high quality, small molecule development candidates within competitive timeframes.
- safeguard intellectual property.
- managing CRO’s as well as collaborating with external patent attorneys.
To succeed you will be educated to PhD level; have exceptional knowledge of synthetic and medicinal chemistries supplemented by a solid understanding of biological signalling pathways, structure-based drug design and ADME optimisation in drug discovery. You will also be experienced in all stages of the interdisciplinary drug discovery process and a background in oncology and/or immunology would be highly advantageous.
