We are currently looking for a Translational Biomarker Group Leader to join a leading Clinical stage Gene Therapy company based in central London area. As the Translational Biomarker Group Leader you will be responsible for the development, validation, technical transfer and troubleshooting of immunoassays to assess product PK, Immunogenicity and Biomarker identification.

You will lead a group of Research Associates and Research Scientists and will manage CRO interactions as well as represent Translational Research on multidisciplinary projects.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Translational Biomarker Group Leader will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Develop, validate, transfer and troubleshoot immunoassays internally to characterise clinical-stage Gene Therapies. These include but are not limited to Luminex, MSD and ADA assays.

2. Provide scientific oversight of assays outsourced to contract research organisations.

3. Evaluate new assay technologies and other applications for improved performance and efficiency of laboratory activities.

4. Line manage laboratory scientists within a GLCP environment and ensure SOPs and regulatory documentations are maintained.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Translational Biomarker Group Leader we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD in a Biological Science or similar experience in a Biotech, Pharmaceutical or CRO environment.

2. Proven industry experience with Bioanalytical method development, validation and troubleshooting of inmmunoassays including but not limited to Luminex, MSD and ADA assays.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Biomarker development as well as previous experience of leading a team or evidence of when you have supported a team both technically and through personal development,
