Synthetic / Organic Chemistry Team Leader

We are actively recruiting for a Synthetic / Organic Chemistry Team Leader to lead and co-ordinate a team of Synthetic Chemists working on a variety of R&D driven target compound and molecule projects.
Responsible for the team's development and performance, whilst also maintaining a hands-on approach to solve challenging and often complex reaction trouble-shooting exercises, the successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring key project milestones are met and communicated with internal and external parties.
You will also lead on a variety of organic synthesis projects, including early-stage clinical drug development targets, incorporating bench synthesis, compound characterisation and small scale up activities in GMP laboratories.
To succeed you will hold a PhD in Synthetic / Organic Chemistry, together with proven demonstrable experience of leading teams of R&D Synthetic Chemists and managing multiple projects at any one time. (This role may also suit a candidate who has held project management responsibilities in a similar environment with the desire to develop a career in Synthetic Chemistry team leadership).
