Senior Analyst

CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join a multinational provider of analytical services to the oil and gas industry to be based at their site in Aberdeen on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for:
• Carrying out routine analysis using instrumentation including GC
• Collation of the sample analysis results and preparation of final reports for proof reading and issue to clients.
• Signing off on reports
• Acting as a representative of the company externally, including with clients and professional/technical bodies
• Performing first line maintenance for testing and measuring equipment performing necessary equipment maintenance to ensure they remain within acceptable operating and (where appropriate) valid calibration standards
• Acting as the focal point for all technical faults and non-conformance issues, providing technical information as required.
• Providing training and mentoring to junior staff in routine analytical techniques, including agreed training plans

To be considered for the role you should have the following skills and experience:
• Degree/Higher National Certificate in related scientific subject and have working experience working in an UKAS accredited laboratory
• Previous experience in Gas Chromatography Techniques, both conventional and MS would be highly beneficial for this position.
