CK Group are recruiting for a Cell Culture Scientist to join a company in the healthcare industry at their site based in Worthing on initially a contract basis for 6 months. There is strong potential for this role to be further extended.

Cell Culture Scientist Role:
- Carry out activities associated with the production, development and maintenance of cell cultures.
- Produce and develop cell lines with increased productivity of a required compound.
- Participate in high throughput screening programme.
- Identify areas for improvement in the screening programme, conduct experiments to verify improvements and incorporate them into the screen.
- Identify alternative strategies for identifying an improved plant cell line.
- Identify new technologies to improve efficiency of the screen, liaise with suppliers, establish cost benefits and implement where appropriate.
Your Background:
- Degree or equivalent in a Biology based subject.
- Good aseptic techniques/skills is required either through a laboratory based project or gained within industry.
- Experience working with plant cells would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be given.
- Able to work as part of a team and individually.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with flexibility is essential.
