CK Group are recruiting for a Process Safety Engineer to join the development team of a process optimisation company at their site based in Manchester on a full time, permanent basis.

The Company:
A leading provider of chemical optimisation services to the pharmaceutical industry, this company provides solutions that allow customers to make the best use of their available resources.

Location:
This role is located in Manchester, which is easily accessible by road from surrounding areas including Ashton-under-Lyne, Rochdale, Stockport, Salford, Oldham amongst others.

Process Safety Engineer Role:
  • Design and implement experimental procedures to allow determination of the safe operating envelope for chemical processes.
  • Determine the availability of all resources required to complete allocated projects on time and within budget.
  • Ensure completion of each project to the highest professional standards, fulfilling the requirements of the customer (internal & external) as documented in the project proposal.
  • Continually assess the progress of a project in terms of proposal and customer requirements, liaise with all related stakeholders.
  • Liaise continuously with project leaders and other team members to resolve any difficulties encountered in the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.

Your Background:
  • Qualified to at least degree (BSc) level preferably higher (MSc/PhD) in a Chemistry or Engineering related vocation.
  • 1 year relevant experience is preferable.
  • Must be proficient in use of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, chemical structure drawing and literature searching tools such as Chemdraw, ACD Labs and Reaxys.
  • Must be literate and numerate in the English Language and be a competent writer of technical reports.
  • Safety and Quality-relevant training, as part of the on-going education and training, are defined in the training record of the jobholder and documented.
