We are currently looking for a QC Material and Sample Management Coordinator to join a growing biotechnology company based in the Central Belt of Scotland.

The employer is well established and fast growing, and they focus on developing future cancer and disease treatments. Your role as QC Material and Sample Management Coordinator will sit within the Quality Control team, and will include the handling of raw materials, taking the lead in material documentation and process improvements.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the QC Material and Sample Management Coordinator will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Independently work to control raw materials, and intermediate manufacturing components, to ensure material, product, and quality is not compromised. Regularly perform material inspections to prevent the introduction of product contaminants into the manufacturing process.

2. Liaise with suppliers to ensure required material documentation is available in a timely manner. Preparation of Bill of Materials (BoMs) for GMP manufacturing. Maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, enforcing adherence to a FEFO system.

3. Support the company biobanking program through stock management, organisation of testing, and compilation of testing results. You will be responsible for liaising with third-party suppliers to arrange sample and product shipments. Work in accordance with QA and Health and Safety policies including the provision of COSHH/BIOCOSHH/Risk assessments. Lead improvement projects to ensure regulatory compliance and streamlining of processes.

4. Prepare and maintain documentation to appropriate quality standards. Examples of these may include; standard operating procedures (SOPs), material and product specifications, TSE evaluations, COSHH/BIOCOSHH assessments and risk assessments.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QC Material and Sample Management Coordinator we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. At least an HND/HNC in a biological discipline. In addition to this, you will need experience working in material handling within a highly regulated GMP environment.

2. Proven industry experience with a variety of GMP activities including material inspections, checking certificates, preparation of GMP documentation (including SOPs) and risk assessments.

3. You will need experience of stock management and preparing bill of materials for manufacture.
