Group Leader - Tumour Imaging

We are currently looking for a Group Leader - Tumour Imaging to join a leading Cell Therapy company based in the Oxfordshire area. As the Group Leader - Tumour Imaging you will be responsible for leading a small team of Tumour Profiling specialists that focus on the identification of Biomarkers for the development on next generation products. Your team will sit within the Translational Sciences Group and you will lead the profiling of clinical biopsy samples through Histology and Imaging technologies.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Group Leader - Tumour Imaging will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Leading a team of Histology and Imaging experts focused on the assessment of patient Tumour biopsies for the identification of Biomarkers, Tumour immune evasion mechanisms and exploration of mode of action of the company's leading therapeutics.

2. Work cross functionally with the Translational Science group and Clinical teams to ensure the timely development of projects.

3. Manage, monitor and set-up partnerships with CROs, ensuring high quality data is delivered on time.

4. Develop biopsy profiling capabilities and have the opportunity to bring in new technologies to ensure the expansion of clinical studies.

5. Manage, collate, analyse, interpret and communicate high quality translational data to multiple stakeholders as well as contribute to protocols and regulatory documents as required.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Group Leader - Tumour Imaging we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. A PhD or equivalent experience within a Life Sciences setting, ideally with a focus on Immunology or Cancer Biology

2. Proven Industry, Medical or academic experience in Tumour profiling using Histology and Imaging techniques including the development and validation of novel Immunohistochemistry ( IHC ), Immunofluorescence ( IF ) and in situ hybridisation ( ISH ), both manual and automated would be beneficial.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with in Translational Science in the Immuno-oncology field would be beneficial and hands on experience processing tumour biopsies in a clinical setting.
