KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Scientist (Biosafety) will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Scientist you will have a pivotal role in the testing biological medicinal products for mycoplasma contamination.
2. You will be responsible for managing and executing studies to GMP regulatory requirements, including:
- Authorship of study plans and SOPs
- Provision of oversight and training when required
- Ensure effective handing of OOS, deviations, CAPAs and Change Controls according to company
SOPs
3. As the Scientist, you will be required to maintain equipment, facilities and materials to GMP standards. This may involve assisting the environmental monitoring for in vitro testing areas.
4. You will also liaise with the internal QA department as well as with external suppliers, sponsors and contractors.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Scientist (Biosafety) we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a Life Sciences related discipline plus industry experience working in a commercial Biosafety testing laboratory and a quality environment.
2. Proven industry experience working towards GMP standards.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with cell culture and regulatory mycoplasma testing.
