Are you an experienced QA Officer looking for an exciting new job opportunity?

We are currently looking for a QA Officer to join a leading animal health company based in Edinburgh.

As the QA Officer you will be responsible for ensuring work carried out by the company or by organisations on their behalf adheres to the Quality Management System and relevant policies and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the QA Officer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will support and help drive the company's Quality function to achieve robust and effective processes to support the quality goals of the company whilst also maintaining and working to improve the QMS and ensuring staff are aware of the requirements and best practices.

2. You will also be responsible for preparing the quality documentation to GxP regulations as and when required and review study / project documentation in adherence with relevant SOPs.

3. As the QA Officer, you will be participating in Contract Research Organisation selection and monitoring and liaise with Contract Manufacturing Organisations to ensure alignment on quality and participate in chance control processes for licensed products.

4. Additionally, you will investigate quality related incidents, defective products or adverse events, identify root causes and following up with corrective and preventative action. You will perform audits of internal operations and suppliers of raw materials and services to ensure they meets relevant regulatory standards e.g GxP

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QA Officer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. A relevant Life Science or equivalent degree and experience working within a QA department in a GxP environment is essential for this position. You will also need to have had experience working within the pharmaceutical industry (CRO or CMO ideally).

2. Proven industry experience in using an electronic Quality Management system is required - ideally Q-Pulse but similar QMS can also be considered.

3. You will need to be process and outcome oriented with demonstrable experience of driving continuous improvement at team and company level as well as having good organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
