We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Health Economics and Market Access Manager to join a leading biotechnology company based in the London area. The company offers leading-edge capability, technology and innovation to enable companies to take products into clinical trials and provide clinical, process development, manufacturing, regulatory, health economics and market access expertise.

As the Health Economics and Market Access Manager you will manage the execution of HE&MA projects, as well as contributing to developing the position of our partner client as a trusted partner and thought leader in the field.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Health Economics and Market Access Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Manage the execution of HE&MA projects (with direction from the Head of HE&MA) including - Undertaking reviews of relevant clinical and health-economic evidence, clinical guidelines and Health Technology Assessments (HTAs), Conducting cost-utility and budget impact analyses and leading on the methodological approach for the analysis.

2. Help develop the position of the company as a thought leader in the cell and gene therapy field by identifying sector-specific challenges that need to be addressed and strategies to enable a sustainable environment for growth of the industry, supporting reimbursement and market access-related initiatives in the UK such as the implementation of outcomes-based reimbursement.

3. Actively contributing to publication of peer-reviewed articles, presentations at conferences/seminars and webinars.

4. Support the company's commercial activities, such as communication of the HE&MA frameworks used to deliver projects, to ensure the business development team have the evidence (case studies) to drive sales, and participating in business development activities, e.g. meetings and discussions with potential partners to drive sales of HE&MA projects.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Health Economics and Market Access Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Educated to PhD level within life sciences or business focussed discipline. Additionally, a Master's qualification in Health Economics or Health Policy would be an advantage. You will be expected to demonstrate experience working within the life sciences sector in either industry or consultancy based roles.

2. Experience in healthcare technology evaluation and in reviewing clinical and health-economic evidence. Solid experience in building, testing, and running health economic models for cost-utility and budget impact analyses

3. Experience in delivering pricing, reimbursement and market access analyses for the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on highly specialized hospital products. Expert understanding of the market access pathways relevant to highly specialized hospital products across EU5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK) as well as the US.
