We are currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join a leading distributor of Life Science products based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Technical Support Specialist you will be responsible for engaging with clients to provide technical scientific support for incoming queries.


Your duties as the Technical Support Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be responsible for managing inbound technical queries from clients, recommending appropriate solutions and establishing yourself as a key point of contact for future enquiries.

2. You will fully resolve customer issues, identifying the path of recourse through use of your own knowledge and various other sources e.g. datasheets.

3. As the Technical Support Specialist, you will work alongside Technical Sales Specialists to identify sales opportunities from incoming enquiries.

4. You will analyse experimental data to identify issues and assist in the growth of customer knowledge.


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Technical Support Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Science Subject, e.g. Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology

2. Proven industry experience in a research setting either through academic or industrial professional experience.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with a variety of Life Science research techniques.
