The Blood Sciences department of University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust is wishing to recruit two suitably qualified and experienced Analytical Chemists to be deployed in the Specialist Chemistry section of the laboratory.

This is a new role within the department and will provide technical expertise for the development and delivery of the busy Forensic Toxicology service provided by the department. For the role you should be educated to post graduate level in Analytical Chemistry or related subject and have postgraduate experience with chromatography systems such as LC-MS/MS, LC-QToF and GC-FID. Expertise in chemical analysis of toxicology or clinical samples is desirable in addition to experience of working in a UKAS accredited laboratory.

Our staff are actively encouraged to undertake further training and development and, if interested, undertake roles in the laboratory quality, training, and health and safety management systems

The department operates across three hospital sites in Leicester. The primary base will be the Leicester Royal Infirmary however there may be a requirement to work on other sites. There will be an element of weekend and evening working in line with service provision.
