Senior Laboratory Technician

CK Science is recruiting for a Senior Laboratory Technician to join a biotechnology company. This is a permanent full time laboratory position based at their central London offices.

The Company:
Our client are an exciting and expanding biotech developing gene therapy treatment for ophthalmology and other conditions.

Location:
This role is located in central London so is easily commutable via public transport from the London area or surrounding counties.

Senior Laboratory Technician Role:
Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Laboratory Manager in the establishment of a new site, which will include a variety of tasks including but not limited to, liaising with vendors, procurement of equipment and planning stock.
• Supporting the function of the overall laboratory operations and various different teams within the company.
• Maintaining equipment through routine checks and arranging servicing and the procurement and stock of lab consumables.
• Assisting in maintaining high standards of lab procedures and training and helping in the maintenance of Health and Safety and COSHH systems.

Your Background:

• Educated to degree level or above in a Biological Science or equivalent with relevant laboratory experience, preferably in a high-volume lab environment.
• Experience of lab procurement and stock management and some experience of lab management.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
