We are currently looking for a Production Manager to join a Global Pharmaceutical organisation based in the Wiltshire area. As the Production Manager you will be responsible for developing, managing and leading a team to manufacture, fill, inspect and pack drug products, safely in line with the companies EHS regulations, in accordance to company quality regulations, and external regulatory compliance.

The Production Manager will work alongside Technical Transfer, QA, and Validation for facility start up through cGMP commercial launch to going production.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Production Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Production Manager you will lead, manage and develop Production Operatives using appraisals, communication and HR systems. You will ensure pharmaceutical awareness and operating standards within the team as well as job skills and knowledge.

2. Coach and mentor staff to ensure products are manufactured and documentation completed in accordance with cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures and other regulatory agency requirements. Identify staff training and development needs to assure competency (suitably qualified and experienced personnel) and support the achievement of objectives.

3. You will be responsible for issue resolution plans, utilising Production, Quality and Maintenance resource allocated to the production area with no impact to the schedule. Track and monitor downtime in the area and implement strategies to reduce downtime. Allocation of labour allocation (suitably qualified and experienced) and organisation (to ensure continuous line running where appropriate).

4. Investigate and lead process related deviations to ensure manufacturing, filling and packaging activities are compliant with cGMP. Drive effective corrective and preventative actions for GMP incidents, troubleshooting situations. Timely completion of relevant deviation and complaint investigations to identify true root cause.

5. Responsible for initiating, developing and implementing strategic development programs relating to improvements and advancement in manufacture, filling, inspection and packing. Support the implementation of continuous improvement programmes.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Production Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Preferably degree qualified in a Scientific, Business or Engineering discipline. Equivalent qualifications will be considered alongside experience within a cGMP Pharmaceutical production environment.

2. You will ideally posses experience of manufacturing sterile drug products to MHRA and FDA regulations.

3. As the Production Manager you will have proven leadership experience in a Pharmaceutical environment working with cross function teams such as Manufacturing, Packaging/ Quality, Engineering or equivalent. Previous experience in managing and leading change, continuous improvement projects is desirable.
